Long COVID continues to persist as a significant cause of chronic illness. In this Virtual Grand Rounds, Nisha Viswanathan, M.D., director of the UCLA Long COVID Program, will present emerging evidence about the cause, outcomes and treatment of Long COVID, as well as tips for managing Long COVID in outpatient settings. We will also have an infectious disease update, reviewing the winter respiratory season and other evolving infections including H5N1, otherwise known as avian influenza.

- Summarize the current epidemiology of COVID-19, influenza, RSV and other winter respiratory viruses.
- Articulate the current epidemiology of Avian flu.
- Communicate updated clinical research on Long COVID with patients.
- Utilize up-to-date Long COVID management strategies.
- Distinguish when and where to refer patients for complex Long COVID
